List of USA-Made Olympic Weight Plates (2022)
Sept 2022 Update: Added and removed several brands, updated prices and info.

Crumb Bumper Plates
Crumb bumpers are made out of rubber “crumbs” made from processing old tires. When a material is recycled and processed in the USA, the new product is considered made in the USA, regardless of the original product’s country of origin.
Crumb bumpers are significantly less dense than virgin rubber bumpers, making them much bouncier.
Hi-Temp manufactures these crumb bumpers for several companies, sometimes “white labeled” with the company’s name on the upper part as shown above for Rogue’s, but always with “Hi Temp Inc, Tuscumbia AL” on them. They vary the size, so check and be sure what you’re getting.

Hello Gentlemen. Found these gorgeous “UNITED STATES BARBELL” 100 lb Deep Dish Olympic Plates. I cannot find a single link, image, scrap of info on this line of plates anywhere?! Does anyone have a clue? Were these possibly U.S. Military Base plates? Are they mid-century? Was “United States Barbell” a “brand?”
The only reference I see to these is post #140 in this thread, where someone repainted a pair of 45s. They are probably a single run of plates that someone made.
There are also plates made by:
Rogue – Standard Olympic Cast Iron
Reddstrong Equipment – Cast Iron
MUTT USA – Wheel Cast Iron
Wright Equipment – Crumb Bumper Elite
Wright Equipment – Hybrid Urethane
Wright Equipment – AMP Bumpers
The Strength Co. – Standard Olympic Cast Iron
Ivanko – Urethane E-Z Lift (OUEZ)
Granite Fitness – Olympic thin steel
Biggins Iron – Cast Iron 2.0
Rogue – Deep Dish Arnold Classic Cast Iron
Rogue – Wagon Wheel Steel
Added the Wright plates, thanks!
Regarding the Iron Grip plates, you had some question marks about measurements and weight tolerance. I just purchased some used Urethane Iron Grip plates. I weighed them and got anywhere from 44.8 to 45.4lbs (45lb plates/15 of them). The majority were 44.6. These are older model Iron Grip plates. For the measurements, my 45lb plates are: 17 1/8″ Diameter, 1 5/8″ Thick with a 2 1/16″ Center Hole. They are very nice plates.
That’s very helpful, thanks! I’m going to add that info to this page. I used Iron Grip plates years ago at a 24 Hour Fitness regularly.
Rouge has made another type of plate, instead of deep dish they have done standard oly size cast iron.
The Strength Co makes USA-Made cast iron as well
Looks good, I gotta add them!
Hey David, This is Joe From USA Iron. Thanks for including us. If you’re doing any kettlebells reviews soon, let me know and I’ll get one out to you!
Hi Joe, I sent you an email a couple days ago to try to get more info on your plates and didn’t hear back?
Found these guys with a distinctly “Married With Children” vibe to their name. Claim to be USA made out of Hamilton IL.
Edit: I see you already have them under USA-Iron. Nevermind.
Right, I believe USA-Iron is the one who has them made and sells to Biggins.
I thought all crumb bumpers were made at the same location in Alabama, but sold under different labels. American Barbell does most off shore, but they own the plants. Think their Hitech plates are made in USA
It sounds like Hi-Temp white labels for a few companies? Some specs appear to be different but it’s possible to make special batches for them to spec. I didn’t even notice that Body Solid’s bumpers also say Hi-Temp on them the same as Rogue’s do. Maybe I’ll do one Hi-Temp listing with several links, if there’s some way to verify which ones are Hi-Temps.
Right, American Barbell’s Hitechplates are their only USA made plates. Good for them if they own the factory in China, but any of those are still made in China.
Hi Temp Plates always has Hi Temp Tuscumbia AL on the bottom of the plate.
Thanks for the info! I’ll get that updated.
Great addition! I made a list like this myself awhile back. It’ll be beneficial to those wanting to support USA made companies.
I hope so! Did I miss any? Also I forgot I need to add credit to John Del Duca for outlining most of this list.
Nope! You actually added one I didn’t have which was the BodySold bumpers. Next, is USA-made dumbbells? I have the list for most of them alreday.
Yeah I was thinking of doing dumbbells. If you can send me what you have so far it will help me get a jump start.
Let me know where to send it.
