2025 Updates: Added Weight It Out iron plates, F and F Steel change plates, Micro Gainz steel change plates, Rogue USA Olympic Plates, Ivanko urethane plates, USA-Iron plates, Le Master deep dish plates. Removed Kabuki plates (Kabuki stopped selling almost everything). Fixed other links.
These plates all meet the FTC requirements for the “made in USA” term, where all significant parts are of US origin and all significant processing to make it is done in the US.
Credit to readers John Del Duca and Fred A for outlining much of this list!
Released in 2020, these deep dish plates are the only ones here made of ductile iron, a high-carbon iron alloy that is stronger and corrosion resistant. Because they are a little more flexible, they ring more when you clank them together.
They started off in 2020 making only steel plates, known for the thinnest design possible. In 2023 they came out with a cast iron version and later added several color options including a clear coat.
Ivanko doesn’t sell online, so we are linking to where you can buy them from Iron Company. Extremely expensive, but the price goes down if you buy a whole set.
Iron Grip does not sell direct to consumers, so we are linking to where you can buy them from Iron Company (similar name, but totally different company).
Crumb bumpers are made out of rubber “crumbs” made from processing old tires. When a material is recycled and processed in the USA, the new product is considered made in the USA, regardless of the original product’s country of origin.
Crumb bumpers are significantly less dense than virgin rubber bumpers, making them much bouncier.
Hi-Temp manufactures these crumb bumpers for several companies, sometimes “white labeled” with the company’s name on the upper part as shown above for Rogue’s, but always with “Hi Temp Inc, Tuscumbia AL” on them. They vary the size, so check and be sure what you’re getting.
If you liked this article, we also have a showcase of USA-made dumbbells.

LeMaster has deep dish iron plates.
Also, USA-Iron has a new and different design for it's iron plates (the previous plates looked identical to Biggins).
The Le Master plates look cool. They remind me of the old Zuver plates... I had to search a while to find the name and what I was thinking of, and I ended up finding this pic of them on Le Master's FB page! So it's exactly what he used for inspiration.
Weight it Out now has cast iron 45s
F & F Steel- steel change plates
Micro Gainz- steel change plates
These have been mentioned below, but I think they should be added to the list:
Homegrown Lifting makes a very affordable line of crumb plates and change plates
You forgot strength co plates!
Hello Gentlemen. Found these gorgeous "UNITED STATES BARBELL" 100 lb Deep Dish Olympic Plates. I cannot find a single link, image, scrap of info on this line of plates anywhere?! Does anyone have a clue? Were these possibly U.S. Military Base plates? Are they mid-century? Was "United States Barbell" a "brand?"

The only reference I see to these is post #140 in this thread, where someone repainted a pair of 45s. They are probably a single run of plates that someone made.
