2026 Update – Revamped entire guide to link to manufacturer pages that list all compatible attachments, so that you can quickly browse the full selections.
You get a hold of a great power rack or squat rack, but then you find out that the company doesn’t make the attachments / accessories that you want.
No problem! You should be able to find a compatible attachment or accessory, as long as your rack is made with one of a few standard configurations.
Table of Contents
The key specs are:
The tubing size of the uprights, as above, typically one of: 2″x2″, 2″x3″, or 3″x3″.
Racks made in China usually use metric sizing. This applies to a lot of brands featured here. They don’t advertise the fact, and you would have to ask them or run into the problem yourself. The tables they are organized in identify them as such.
The hardware/peg diameter that fits into the holes in the uprights, as above. Varies from 1/2″ to 1″. Going by the peg diameter is more consistent across brands than the hole size that is cut somewhat larger than the peg.
The hole spacing in the uprights, ie: the distance between holes on center, as above. This is only applicable for attachments that use 2 holes, the second using a locking pin.
2″ spacing is becoming the standard. Some racks have Westside spacing, which is 1″ spacing at a certain height range for setting bench press safety bars just right, and otherwise 2″ spacing above and below that.
An attachment can fit in a larger hole than it’s made for, but it will be able to wiggle and maybe tip down a little, depending on the snugness of the bracket that goes over the tubing.
Similarly, attachment brackets can fit onto slightly smaller tubing than what they were designed for. This can be less bad than the wrong peg size, because you can glue shims (UHMW plastic or wood) to the inside of the attachment’s bracket to make it fit. Some attachments work well enough even if they’re loose. Some don’t have enough pressure put on them to be a safety issue, like a battle rope anchor, but it could still rattle.
Lastly, the steel gauge (wall thickness) of rack tubing does not factor into compatibility. The tubes are fabricated to an outside diameter spec.
For fitting 3×3 attachments onto 2×3 tubing, or 2×3 attachments onto 2×2 tubing, an Etsy seller is making these adapters to fill the void in the bracket.
I don’t recommend you use load-bearing attachments that don’t fit quite right, such as J-hooks, steel safety arms, or plate holders, unless you have a good way of retrofitting it to be snug enough. Use some common sense, visualize it, and you’ll get the idea.
In many cases attachments that use a locking pin to secure the attachment into a second hole on the rack’s upright won’t line up the same on all racks. Normally this is the difference in metric and imperial (inches) hole spacing. As much as you want it to work, under most circumstances you won’t get the locking pin in. The offset starts at 1/16″ per hole and widens cumulatively.
If you’re thinking of foregoing the locking pin or buying a thinner one, and you have to ask for confirmation on whether it’s safe, you probably shouldn’t do it.
Rogue has among the best and most consistent quality. Cheap Amazon-only brands are the worst and might be unsafe, and we avoid promoting them when possible. Most other brands are somewhere in the middle or sometimes as good as Rogue.

Slightly smaller than 3″x3″, and pegs slightly smaller than 1″. Generally compatible with 3×3 racks. The attachments here with a locking pin using a second hole, such as spotter arms, can even sometimes fully fit on 3×3 racks because the smaller peg size somewhat makes the attachment drop a little lower and reach the slightly wider spaced hole to lock into.
An exception: There have been reports of Titan’s regular J-hooks not fitting over 3×3 tubing.

For a high and low cable system that works on almost any power rack, see the Spud Inc Pulley System shown above.
If you only need a high pulley (for lat pulldowns and tricep pushdowns), see Giant Lifting’s pulley system for a much lower price.
This Rep Fitness dip station above fits on almost any rack with 1″ round safety bars (thanks Anthony!). The rack needs to have at least 21″ depth between the front and back uprights, which is the case for all freestanding racks and most floor-mounted racks except the most shallow ones. The rack’s hole spacing does not matter, as the bottom part of the attachment simply rests against wherever the lower safety bar is.
There are a couple solutions for power rack strap safeties if you can’t find a match. If you can get a brand of them with brackets that fit your rack but the straps are the wrong length, get two 2″ Stren-Flex slings of the right length to replace them with. They are extremely strong, with pertinent info labeled and a chart on that webpage with the pound ratings.
Your second option is a pair of Spud Inc suspension straps that hang off your rack’s top crossmembers.
Multiple questions on this in the comments prompted me to add this section.
You generally can’t add a rear rack extension – usually to accommodate weight plate storage – made for a different brand. The height of the holes off the floor and the rack width would have to be precisely the same.
Similarly, with extension feet meant to stabilize a rack, the holes would have to be precisely the same height off the floor, or they would float and defeat the purpose.
I have heard reports of people using these across brands, but in every case it seems the user made some modifications to make it work.
For the best compatibility going forward, I highly recommend getting a 3×3 rack taking 5/8″ pegs (Rogue Monster Lite compatible) or 1″ pegs (Rogue Monster compatible). Even you never buy a Rogue product, they lead the way in things like this.
Rogue appears to be de-emphasizing their 2×3 racks in favor of 3×3. Other manufacturers have seemed to follow suit. This doesn’t mean that nobody will make racks with 2×2 or 2×3 tubing. I believe that there will be a market for those lighter and cheaper racks for a long time, and they are not necessarily bad racks. The 3×3 attachments sell much better and are more numerous, because people who spend the extra money for a 3×3 rack are more likely to soup it up.
You might want to steer clear of racks that have metric sized tubing. They are harder to fit attachments on. Some of them fit ok.

ROGUE MONSTER PLATE KEYLESS STORAGE PIN, from what I heard also works with the Inspire Fitness FPC1 Full Power Cage.
Hi Dave! Thanks for putting this together.
I’ve read through the posts but still unsure on what accessories might work with the Inspire Fitness FPC1 Full Power Cage. This is sold at Costco.
From what I read, the vertical frames are supposedly 3x3 with 1 inch holes.
What accessories will work? Do I get accessories that are 1 inch or 11/16th, as one suggested from Titan X3 series.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
This article has been amazingly helpful for me. Allan, I have the FPC1 and I use Titan series attachments (lever arms, monolift, and straps) anything I've used that is 3x3x1 should work, the only issues I've come across are the holes don't always line up for things that have 2 safety pins (like the monolift) but I haven't had any issues with just using the one. Fray Fitness has a savage series of attachments that work very well also.
Hi Larry,
Can you tend me the hole spacing, on center, of the FPC1? The older Titan Series attachments before 2021 were metric spaced.
The 1" holes are spaced 3" apart and the smaller holes near the top are roughly 2.5" apart
The Fray Fitness Savage series lever arms work on the FPC1? Which Titan lever arms did you get? I have the same rack and just ordered the surplus strength UPS.
I went with the Titan X3 arms and upgraded to Vendetta adapters. Definitely made the lever arms worth it. I almost switched to Fray Savage Series arms but it wouldn't work with Vendetta at the time so I didn't.
Fray's spotter arms, safety straps, and leg roller all fit without issue though.
Usually if someone says the holes are 1" it means the pegs are 1" and the holes are a little larger, and in that case it would be compatible with the Rogue Monster, other than a possible hole spacing issue for attachments that use two holes. I'll look into it to try to get official specs.
The Inspire FPC1 is likely the same rack as one of the Ethos racks from Dicks
I’d like to see something for the Inspire Full Cage! It’s such a nice piece for the price and all that’s included already on it!
Ok, I've made a note to see if I can get the specs. Looks like they don't sell any of their attachments separately, just as a bundle with the rack.
David,
I have this rack, let me know if you need any information about it. Inspire Customer Service hasn't been the most helpful for me when I've reached out for accessories so I've had to do a lot of digging on my own.
Does ETHOS Functional Training Rack have same specs as the the ethos power rack 1.0?
Yeah, it's the same but of course with the holes spaced far apart
It shows it is 3x3. So the attachments listed above with 3x3 with 1 inch peg should work correct?
Yeah it will be the same. I mostly avoid listing too many half racks here because half racks aren't usually stable enough to hold some attachments but otherwise they can usually hold the same attachments as a power rack by the same maker, or whatever is compatible with that.
Hi,
I have a titan “titan power rack”, was planning to get a drop in belt squat from rogue, should I go with the monster or monster lite? Thanks in advance.
If it's Titan Fitness, they're listed on a few tables. Their Titan series is 3x3, 1" pegs for Monster.
So get the monster series belt squat?
Unlikely to fit. That's not a simple attachment that goes in a hole. It requires specific rack sizing in a couple other ways.
Titan X-3 flat foot - it says the home spacing is 11/16. Is this compatible with anything else?
It's listed. Look at the 3x3, 5/8 pegs section.
I'm an idiot and am still confused. If the hole spacing is 11/16, then we can look for attachments with 5/8 peg sizing? I have booked marked this list, but I'm trying to find 36" flip down arms for the X3 before I buy it and am stuck on the sizing of the hole issue.
The hole spacing is the distance between the holes. I don't know that anyone makes any 36" spotter arms that would hang off the front. That's really long. Some flip down safeties for attaching to both front and back uprights inside a power rack are that long, if that's what you're talking about, but another brand is unlikely to fit there.
Hi! Yes, I am talking about the flip down safeties for inside the powerrack. I only saw the strap safeties for the X3 on the titan website and not the flip down safeties for the X3, so I just assumed they didn't make them.
Thanks so much for the reply!
Hi Ashley, Did you ever find a flip-down that works for X3? I am in a similar situation
The titan adjustable level arms do not fit on the ethos power rack 1.0
I have the Inspire cage (which is essentially the same rack but different color, more attachments and laser cut numbers) and I use Titan lever arms. The X3 ones slide slightly forward when installed but otherwise were solid, I switched to the Titan bracket (the Titan lever arms were out of stock for ages) this year, the holes don't line up with the provided safety pins but I bought smaller pins from Tractor Supply Store and they keep everything in place perfectly.
I was wondering this too. Were you able to find out? I shot an email off to Archon asking about it, but it's been radio silence for days now.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know the figures for Archon Fitness racks/attachments? Wondering what, if anything, they're compatible with.
Thank you so much! This will help me add J cups (maybe I should get roller?), plate storage pins, and hopefully a pullup bar (have not decided yet) to my 3x3 Inspire full power cage which has no attachment options other than what comes with it!!
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for all the hours you put into this. I feel like I should send you a gift card or something ;)
Just ordered the Titan X3 roller j-cups for my Monster Lite squat stand.
Should fit well. I've been expecting Rogue to come out with roller J cups at some point, but nothing yet.
