Power Rack Attachments & Compatibility (2026)

2026 Update – Revamped entire guide to link to manufacturer pages that list all compatible attachments, so that you can quickly browse the full selections.

You get a hold of a great power rack or squat rack, but then you find out that the company doesn’t make the attachments / accessories that you want.

No problem! You should be able to find a compatible attachment or accessory, as long as your rack is made with one of a few standard configurations.

The 3 Compatibility Specs

The key specs are:

The tubing size of the uprights, as above, typically one of: 2″x2″,  2″x3″, or 3″x3″.

Racks made in China usually use metric sizing. This applies to a lot of brands featured here. They don’t advertise the fact, and you would have to ask them or run into the problem yourself. The tables they are organized in identify them as such.

The hardware/peg diameter that fits into the holes in the uprights, as above. Varies from 1/2″ to 1″. Going by the peg diameter is more consistent across brands than the hole size that is cut somewhat larger than the peg.

The hole spacing in the uprights, ie: the distance between holes on center, as above. This is only applicable for attachments that use 2 holes, the second using a locking pin.

2″ spacing is becoming the standard. Some racks have Westside spacing, which is 1″ spacing at a certain height range for setting bench press safety bars just right, and otherwise 2″ spacing above and below that.

When Slightly Wrong Sized Attachments are Ok

An attachment can fit in a larger hole than it’s made for, but it will be able to wiggle and maybe tip down a little, depending on the snugness of the bracket that goes over the tubing.

Similarly, attachment brackets can fit onto slightly smaller tubing than what they were designed for. This can be less bad than the wrong peg size, because you can glue shims (UHMW plastic or wood) to the inside of the attachment’s bracket to make it fit. Some attachments work well enough even if they’re loose. Some don’t have enough pressure put on them to be a safety issue, like a battle rope anchor, but it could still rattle.

Lastly, the steel gauge (wall thickness) of rack tubing does not factor into compatibility. The tubes are fabricated to an outside diameter spec.

rack tubing adapters

For fitting 3×3 attachments onto 2×3 tubing, or 2×3 attachments onto 2×2 tubing, an Etsy seller is making these adapters to fill the void in the bracket.

When You Should Not Use the Wrong Sized Attachments

I don’t recommend you use load-bearing attachments that don’t fit quite right, such as J-hooks, steel safety arms, or plate holders, unless you have a good way of retrofitting it to be snug enough. Use some common sense, visualize it, and you’ll get the idea.

Attachments Using 2 Holes

In many cases attachments that use a locking pin to secure the attachment into a second hole on the rack’s upright won’t line up the same on all racks. Normally this is the difference in metric and imperial (inches) hole spacing. As much as you want it to work, under most circumstances you won’t get the locking pin in. The offset starts at 1/16″ per hole and widens cumulatively.

If you’re thinking of foregoing the locking pin or buying a thinner one, and you have to ask for confirmation on whether it’s safe, you probably shouldn’t do it.

List of Power Rack Attachments by Size

Rogue has among the best and most consistent quality. Cheap Amazon-only brands are the worst and might be unsafe, and we avoid promoting them when possible. Most other brands are somewhere in the middle or sometimes as good as Rogue.

Slightly smaller than 3″x3″, and pegs slightly smaller than 1″. Generally compatible with 3×3 racks. The attachments here with a locking pin using a second hole, such as spotter arms, can even sometimes fully fit on 3×3 racks because the smaller peg size somewhat makes the attachment drop a little lower and reach the slightly wider spaced hole to lock into.

An exception: There have been reports of Titan’s regular J-hooks not fitting over 3×3 tubing.

Universal Fit Attachments

For a high and low cable system that works on almost any power rack, see the Spud Inc Pulley System shown above.

If you only need a high pulley (for lat pulldowns and tricep pushdowns), see Giant Lifting’s pulley system for a much lower price.

This Rep Fitness dip station above fits on almost any rack with 1″ round safety bars (thanks Anthony!). The rack needs to have at least 21″ depth between the front and back uprights, which is the case for all freestanding racks and most floor-mounted racks except the most shallow ones. The rack’s hole spacing does not matter, as the bottom part of the attachment simply rests against wherever the lower safety bar is.

There are a couple solutions for power rack strap safeties if you can’t find a match. If you can get a brand of them with brackets that fit your rack but the straps are the wrong length, get two 2″ Stren-Flex slings of the right length to replace them with. They are extremely strong, with pertinent info labeled and a chart on that webpage with the pound ratings.

Your second option is a pair of Spud Inc suspension straps that hang off your rack’s top crossmembers.

Rear Rack Extension and Foot Stabilizer Fit

rear rack extension
extension feet

Multiple questions on this in the comments prompted me to add this section.

You generally can’t add a rear rack extension – usually to accommodate weight plate storage – made for a different brand. The height of the holes off the floor and the rack width would have to be precisely the same.

Similarly, with extension feet meant to stabilize a rack, the holes would have to be precisely the same height off the floor, or they would float and defeat the purpose.

I have heard reports of people using these across brands, but in every case it seems the user made some modifications to make it work.

General Recommendations

For the best compatibility going forward, I highly recommend getting a 3×3 rack taking 5/8″ pegs (Rogue Monster Lite compatible) or 1″ pegs (Rogue Monster compatible). Even you never buy a Rogue product, they lead the way in things like this.

Rogue appears to be de-emphasizing their 2×3 racks in favor of 3×3. Other manufacturers have seemed to follow suit. This doesn’t mean that nobody will make racks with 2×2 or 2×3 tubing. I believe that there will be a market for those lighter and cheaper racks for a long time, and they are not necessarily bad racks. The 3×3 attachments sell much better and are more numerous, because people who spend the extra money for a 3×3 rack are more likely to soup it up.

You might want to steer clear of racks that have metric sized tubing. They are harder to fit attachments on. Some of them fit ok.

  • I'm looking to attach Titan's flying pull up bar to my Monster Lite half rack. I'm sure I can find nuts and bolts that should work, but do you have any insight on hole spacing?

  • So if I read below am I correct to understand titan x3 is not a true 3x3 1 inch and that Ethos power rack 1.0 is 3x3 1 inch. (I have this one). That suggests titan x3 attachments are not compatible with the ethos rack? I was looking at the x3 dip attachment. If I read the table correctly the rogue monster attachments are generally compatible with ethos.

    • Right, Titan attachments will not fit Rogue or Ethos, unless they happen to have certain attachments with sloppy fitting brackets to give that extra 1/16". The ones I've seen are fairly snug. Ethos and Rogue are compatible.

  • I have a rogue r3 - which I believe is infinity. Are there any jammer arms that would fit? Thanks a ton for the help!!

  • Bought a Body-Solid GPR378 from Clist. Wondering if maybe the Rogue Monster Lite stuff might work. 3x3 on the BS.

      • Thanks David. BTW, really like your website. So much great information. Did buy Rigers J-Hooks. For 5/8 & 1" holes. May not work, but reviews has some saying it did work for GPR378. So will give that a go.

        • I will have to look at Rigers. I don't think I've looked at their stuff yet. Let me know how it fits!

  • I'm planning on picking up a used Weider Pro 7500 Halfrack. It's an older rack. Do any of the manufacturers make dip bars that will fit?

    • I'm not sure what sizing Weider racks use, or even who owns the Weider brand for equipment anymore.

      • Yeah I’ve been trying to figure that out too. Seems like they got out of the equipment business. I’ll just get the measurements when I pick it up and go from there. Very helpful website. Thanks.

  • First, thanks for this list! I have a Prime Fitness rack and was looking to add some accessories at a non-Prime price. They use a 3x3 supports. I wanted to add the Titan dip station, but at 75mm it's too small. Does anyone know if it has plastic "spacers" that could be sanded down to give that extra clearance or is it just steel?

      • Thanks for sharing the results and saving me some worry!

I ordered an American Barbell rack (technically 3/4 but 11/16 is close) and just realized the official dip attachment is $250! Now I'm comfortable trying the Titan :)

Neither rack nor attachment will ship for 2-3 weeks, but I'll try to remember to update for anyone else!

    • The Y-dip has UHMW inserts that you might be able to sand down with a power tool, but you'll run into the screws.

  • Awesome site. I have a Rep PR-3000 and it has been discontinued. Attachments are becoming harder to find for it. A little nervous about being able to get attachments for it in the future.. I thought the PR-3000 was 2x3 but missed the fine print until after buying. Will the approximately 1/8 inch difference in size mean I won't be able to use Rogue R-3 attachments with it?

    • Most of the R-3 attachments aren't likely to fit over the 3.15" dimension of the PR-3000 tubing. Certain attachments that don't wrap around that dimension of the tubing could fit, like the landmine base comes to mind.

  • Would Force USA my rack be compatible with bells of steel 60mmx60mm? They list 2.4” with 5/8” holes which seems very close.

    • I think you're right. I would bet that ForceUSA is the same 60x60mm. I'll see about adding them and the attachments shortly.

      • Hello David,

Unfortunately, they do not fit. I have the Force USA rack and ordered a set of J-cups from Bells of Steel.

The posts on the Bells of Steel cups are slightly larger than 5/8" so they will not fit in the holes of the MyRack.

Everything else appears to fit. Surprisingly, the BoS cups are not as tight against the post (I put one up using the 1" side holes to test fit). I can only assume BoS are not as tight with their tolerances as Force USA is.

        • Looks like there's an issue that some manufacturers go by the hole size and others go by the peg size. I'm not sure how to resolve this as far as the chart goes. I just measured my Titan rack holes and the pegs are under 11/16" while the holes are over 11/16". so this is going to be a nightmare to try to sort out.

          • Just a quick update. You are correct in your assumption. I measured the peg on the BoS j-hooks and they are 5/8" in diameter. The holes on the MyRack are 5/8" in diameter.

            They are simply not compatible.

          • Yeah. I ordered cheap calipers on Amazon to measure the difference between the two pegs, but I can tell you that just using a tape measure, the hole size on the MyRack is exactly 5/8" so the pegs on the MyRack accessories are smaller than 5/8". However, there is a clear size difference with the BoS pegs and the holes on the MyRack. I'll know exact measurements when the calipers come in, but, at the moment, it looks like the BoS pegs are larger than 5/8".
