2026 Update – Revamped entire guide to link to manufacturer pages that list all compatible attachments, so that you can quickly browse the full selections.
You get a hold of a great power rack or squat rack, but then you find out that the company doesn’t make the attachments / accessories that you want.
No problem! You should be able to find a compatible attachment or accessory, as long as your rack is made with one of a few standard configurations.
Table of Contents
The key specs are:
The tubing size of the uprights, as above, typically one of: 2″x2″, 2″x3″, or 3″x3″.
Racks made in China usually use metric sizing. This applies to a lot of brands featured here. They don’t advertise the fact, and you would have to ask them or run into the problem yourself. The tables they are organized in identify them as such.
The hardware/peg diameter that fits into the holes in the uprights, as above. Varies from 1/2″ to 1″. Going by the peg diameter is more consistent across brands than the hole size that is cut somewhat larger than the peg.
The hole spacing in the uprights, ie: the distance between holes on center, as above. This is only applicable for attachments that use 2 holes, the second using a locking pin.
2″ spacing is becoming the standard. Some racks have Westside spacing, which is 1″ spacing at a certain height range for setting bench press safety bars just right, and otherwise 2″ spacing above and below that.
An attachment can fit in a larger hole than it’s made for, but it will be able to wiggle and maybe tip down a little, depending on the snugness of the bracket that goes over the tubing.
Similarly, attachment brackets can fit onto slightly smaller tubing than what they were designed for. This can be less bad than the wrong peg size, because you can glue shims (UHMW plastic or wood) to the inside of the attachment’s bracket to make it fit. Some attachments work well enough even if they’re loose. Some don’t have enough pressure put on them to be a safety issue, like a battle rope anchor, but it could still rattle.
Lastly, the steel gauge (wall thickness) of rack tubing does not factor into compatibility. The tubes are fabricated to an outside diameter spec.
For fitting 3×3 attachments onto 2×3 tubing, or 2×3 attachments onto 2×2 tubing, an Etsy seller is making these adapters to fill the void in the bracket.
I don’t recommend you use load-bearing attachments that don’t fit quite right, such as J-hooks, steel safety arms, or plate holders, unless you have a good way of retrofitting it to be snug enough. Use some common sense, visualize it, and you’ll get the idea.
In many cases attachments that use a locking pin to secure the attachment into a second hole on the rack’s upright won’t line up the same on all racks. Normally this is the difference in metric and imperial (inches) hole spacing. As much as you want it to work, under most circumstances you won’t get the locking pin in. The offset starts at 1/16″ per hole and widens cumulatively.
If you’re thinking of foregoing the locking pin or buying a thinner one, and you have to ask for confirmation on whether it’s safe, you probably shouldn’t do it.
Rogue has among the best and most consistent quality. Cheap Amazon-only brands are the worst and might be unsafe, and we avoid promoting them when possible. Most other brands are somewhere in the middle or sometimes as good as Rogue.

Slightly smaller than 3″x3″, and pegs slightly smaller than 1″. Generally compatible with 3×3 racks. The attachments here with a locking pin using a second hole, such as spotter arms, can even sometimes fully fit on 3×3 racks because the smaller peg size somewhat makes the attachment drop a little lower and reach the slightly wider spaced hole to lock into.
An exception: There have been reports of Titan’s regular J-hooks not fitting over 3×3 tubing.

For a high and low cable system that works on almost any power rack, see the Spud Inc Pulley System shown above.
If you only need a high pulley (for lat pulldowns and tricep pushdowns), see Giant Lifting’s pulley system for a much lower price.
This Rep Fitness dip station above fits on almost any rack with 1″ round safety bars (thanks Anthony!). The rack needs to have at least 21″ depth between the front and back uprights, which is the case for all freestanding racks and most floor-mounted racks except the most shallow ones. The rack’s hole spacing does not matter, as the bottom part of the attachment simply rests against wherever the lower safety bar is.
There are a couple solutions for power rack strap safeties if you can’t find a match. If you can get a brand of them with brackets that fit your rack but the straps are the wrong length, get two 2″ Stren-Flex slings of the right length to replace them with. They are extremely strong, with pertinent info labeled and a chart on that webpage with the pound ratings.
Your second option is a pair of Spud Inc suspension straps that hang off your rack’s top crossmembers.
Multiple questions on this in the comments prompted me to add this section.
You generally can’t add a rear rack extension – usually to accommodate weight plate storage – made for a different brand. The height of the holes off the floor and the rack width would have to be precisely the same.
Similarly, with extension feet meant to stabilize a rack, the holes would have to be precisely the same height off the floor, or they would float and defeat the purpose.
I have heard reports of people using these across brands, but in every case it seems the user made some modifications to make it work.
For the best compatibility going forward, I highly recommend getting a 3×3 rack taking 5/8″ pegs (Rogue Monster Lite compatible) or 1″ pegs (Rogue Monster compatible). Even you never buy a Rogue product, they lead the way in things like this.
Rogue appears to be de-emphasizing their 2×3 racks in favor of 3×3. Other manufacturers have seemed to follow suit. This doesn’t mean that nobody will make racks with 2×2 or 2×3 tubing. I believe that there will be a market for those lighter and cheaper racks for a long time, and they are not necessarily bad racks. The 3×3 attachments sell much better and are more numerous, because people who spend the extra money for a 3×3 rack are more likely to soup it up.
You might want to steer clear of racks that have metric sized tubing. They are harder to fit attachments on. Some of them fit ok.

I’m looking for front lever/jammer arms for my monster lite. I’m seeing from your list the rep iso arms and the titan x-3 lever series might work is that right?
They'll work. I've heard the Titan lever arms are dicey because you can catch a finger in something easily when adjusting.
Amazing discussion board here! Thank you! Anyway, finally got a used monster rack... The thing I've been contemplating is hybridizing it since rogue for whatever reason chooses not to sell individual monster uprights. Anyone know why?
The idea is that I could make the cage fully rogue and then go with a rep uprights and crossmembers and daisy chain it to mine and then that could free me up to other attachments and more customizability. It's a 4 post so if I had the ability to find a 6 post that would have been cool but I didn't. I've been thinking about making my own weight stack for the future since my space is super limited or if I can possibly integrate the lat pull row rep attachment. I know in that case it may be a height issue but possibly shimming might work if the lat extension doesn't hit the upper crossmember.
But for adding a rep upright... The only issue as well documented here is for the rep 5000 is in the hole spacing (3x3, 1" bolt) and really this would only apply to the cross member bracket at the top and bottom and more specifically only the second bolt hole is the problem. Anything I do from the crossmember on can be rep or similar in metric spacing. Correct me if I'm missing something but can anyone tell me how far out is that second bolt hole and could I just drill it out the 1/16" or so to make it so that it could integrate monster with rogue. Sounds like that's why the one guy had to use a smaller bolt to accommodate the us to metric hole spacing. Seems reasonable.
Rogue does sell custom ordered uprights, etc but has suspended all that due to the incredible business increase due to covid.
Hi - any idea whether Rogue Monster Lite spotter arms SAML-24 will fit a Titan Fitness X-3 folding rack? They are both 3x3 with pins/holes that appear compatible based on your (awesome!) info above, but I'm worried about the metric hole spacing on the Titan rack vs. the Rogue spotters. Thanks!
The locking pin hole will never be lined up on any attachments with the metric-imperial spacing mismatch.
Thanks for confirming. That's what I was concerned about.
Then again, looking at how far the spotter arms need to be rotated on the fixed pin in order to be removed, I'm thinking they may work safely even without the locking pin in place.
Am I crazy, or are the spotter arms just as safe (or very nearly as safe) even without the locking pins? Anyone use them this way on a regular basis?
I don't bother using the locking pins on spotter arms. There's no way they'll fall off. The only risk is that they can rotate out of place somewhat, from a big enough crash or from a lateral force.
Hello, which would be the best lever arms for an XM fitness Infinity rack? https://www.treadmillfactory.ca/xm-fitness-365-infinity-power-rack-7ft?
I was thinking Rogue Cal Trolley. Thank you
Yes, if you can afford it the Rogue ones will be the best as far as quality and guaranteed fit.
Has anyone used the rogue arms on a Elite LFS 3x3 11ga rack?
will the Titan X-3 SERIES ADJUSTABLE LEVER ARMS (https://www.titan.fitness/racks/rack-accessories/x-3-series/x-3-series-adjustable-lever-arms/400848.html) work with the Ethos power rack 5.0 (https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/ethos-power-rack-5-0-17au6uthspwrrck50gmu/17au6uthspwrrck50gmu) that has 1"holes?
The X-3 attachments have 5/8" pegs. I'd suggest trying one of the lever arms available with 1" pegs.
Thanks for the reply David. Ordered the adjustable ones w/1”
Wondering about 1" holes. Are they technically 1 1/16? I have an elitefts 3x3 scholastic rack and they seem to measure that. Sorinex makes short band pegs that they say are 1 1/16. Do you know if the Sorinex pegs are compatible with my rack? Thanks.
Yeah, should be. I'm using the convention of the hardware/peg sizing as 1", with the holes slightly larger. The hole is usually like 1/16" larger than the peg size.
Are the newer Rep Fitness 4000 series Monolift Attachments compatible with the Rogue Monster Lite racks?
Other than the locking pin, it should fit.
anyone know where can i buy trolley arms compatible with power rack ppr200x?
Nobody is going to make trolley arms for a 2x2 rack. You would have to buy a 2x3 version and glue in shims to make it fit.
Question for anyone with the Titan Rack Mountable H-PND...does anyone know if I could make this work on a Monster Lite rack?
Needing some help… I bought a used RML rack and it came with the trolley system but the guy didn’t have the handles for it, it was a strange deal. But I knew I was getting a good deal on the rack that even if I had to pay a couple hundred bucks for just the handles I was still happy with my deal. But I emailed Rogue and they don’t sell just the handles for some reason…? Does anybody know where I can get just the handles to jammer arms that would fit rogue monster lite?
