Thanks so much for the comparison, specifically between the Monster and Monster Lite series. Currently, this comparison gets a little hairy for me when considering a functional trainer build. On the surface, the Monster Lite is about $1000 cheaper, which is nice. However, it excludes the "ROGUE" top crossmember option (+$75, take it or leave it,) stainless steel lat pulldown bar option (+$75,) numbered uprights (+$155,) and plate storage pegs (+$300!) that are all included in the price for a Monster variant. Before you know it, you're speccing a Monster Lite functional trainer into Monster pricing. The Monster also supposedly includes band pegs at no extra cost, and offers far more versatility in the holes along the sides of the uprights. Both racks are way overbuilt for anything I'll ever need, but they sure seem to be subtly driving customers towards the more expensive Monster.

The Froning rack would be cool for taller people. I'm 6ft and wouldn't mind something like that if I had the ceiling height! Here's a link for anyone curious.

I'll be revising this article soon to dump the R-series racks I think. Rogue appears to be moving away from all the 2x3 racks in favor of 3x3, and the availability of the best attachments into the future for 2x3 is questionable.

The Froning Rack is 100 inchs which makes it inline with the most of the Monster racks options for height

Good point. I wish they had an option for taller Monster Lite racks, but I guess this is why people go with Monster. Somehow this obvious point escaped me when I was writing!

I would say the different heights available for Monster line make it a better option for taller people. The monster lite is only 90”
