Good ideas! I forgot about a pull up bar. That's an easy one that's pretty quiet. I added it. I've been hitting my heavy bag a lot lately, probably the noisiest thing I could possibly do.

Good article, another highly effective bodyweight burn is the 100 rep pyramid sets of push ups (4-8-12-16-20-16-12-8-4) to equal 100 reps.

I use the stopwatch feature on my phone to check my times, I also mix it up by doing the sets with decline push ups too and then finish it off with a few extra slow 4 second concentric and eccentric push ups (slowly lower on the way down, pause, then slowly go up to a slow full lockout of the elbows).

Combine that with some weightlifting and you get the best of both realms.

Also if stuck and confined to a minimalist approach to pull ups, one can improvise by using a door frame ledge that sticks out enough and has enough integrity to bang out a couple of sets and reps there.
